Crossbody Knotted Handbag

I’m obsessed with fall accessories and have been looking for a go-to bag that is roomy enough to hold everything but can work for casual OOTDs too. The answer: this $25 braided bag that is seamlessly blends 2021’s biggest trends (hello, braided leather and hobo bags!) into fall fashion (black goes with everything from plaid to leather trousers).

Athletic Skort

I have been absolutely loving the preppy trend for fall (my entire Pinterest board is full of country club-inspired outfits), so I was searching for a white tennis skirt to pair with crewneck sweatshirts, high socks, and sneakers to make my preppy dreams come true. I could’ve splurged on one of the more popular options, but I found this super affordable one and fell in love—it’s flattering, comfortable, and will go with so many different outfits.

Nespresso

Nespresso Capsules

I am normally an iced coffee drinker year round, but sometimes I crave a seasonal hot beverage to compliment a crisp fall day. I am a proud Nespresso owner, so I love this flavored variety pack during the fall and winter months. All three flavors are delicious, and they pair perfectly with a pumpkin coffee creamer.

Cross Band Plush Slippers

I commit to cozy things as soon as the temperature drops below 75, and these slippers have been a favorite of mine since last fall. They are incredibly soft and come in so many colors. My puppy has eaten two pairs of them in the past year, and I will keep reordering them because they are so fabulous. (Don’t worry, he’s totally fine!)

Circadian Optics Light Therapy Lamp

When the sun sets before work is over for the day, I definitely need some light therapy to avoid S.A.D. This desktop light therapy lamp from Circadian Optics is exactly what I need to stay focused, stay happy, and not want to fall asleep before dinner. It’s perfect for your work-from-home space or your office!

Paddywax Candles

As I rounded out my fall candle collection, I had to have this the second I laid eyes on it. This apothecary style makes this such great Halloween decor, but that’s only the second best part. The scent is reminiscent of an expensive cozy sweater sprayed with the best patchouli perfume on the market after it walked through a smokey bar in 1986. The other scents are now calling my name.

2 Piece Knit Sweatsuit

I resisted buying loungewear for so long. “If I can’t wear it out of the house, why would I spend money on it?” I said over and over. I am officially eating my words, as comfortable clothes I can wear at home and still feel cute in have taken complete precedent in my fall wardrobe, above all the boots and sweaters I’d normally be filling my cart with. This adorable set is great for that transition period (or the nights when my radiator heat goes berserk) when it’s not quite cold yet but chilly enough to want to be cozy at home. I’ve already worn these as a set and as separates with leggings and T-shirts from my closet, and it hasn’t let me down once.

Apple Watch Sport Band

My mother had gifted me an Apple Watch last Christmas and, until a few weeks ago, I never gave a second thought to the band that came with it. It worked and it was comfortable but, after much evaluation (and the revelation that the near 70 compression-molded perforations on the band gave my dear coworker, Jess, a severe case of trypophobia), I decided that it was time to purchase a watch band that matched my aesthetic. This band from Amazon is sleek, equally as comfortable, super affordable, and totally fits my vibe.

Vintage Bamboo Folding Fan

Tell me you’re extra without telling me you’re extra… I’ll go first. I sweat like a maniac on most days but especially when I’m rushing to get ready post-shower. If you don’t already know, I’ll spare you the gory details. Putting makeup atop a sweaty face and watching it melt off the moment you put it on is just not a good time. I bought this handheld folding fan which serves me three functions: to keep me cool, to help set my face makeup after my setting spray, and to make me feel like a total diva. It might be one of my favorite purchases this year and I don’t care who is judging me for it.

Back Pocket Pasta: Inspired Dinners to Cook on the Fly

Did someone say pasta? You better believe the moment I spotted this cookbook (that focuses on pasta, and pasta alone – yum), I knew it needed a permanent place in my kitchen. This cookbook covers easy recipes that can be thrown together with ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen pantry. Which means, the days of last minute runs to the grocery store are behind you. The title quite literally says it best: “Inspired Dinners to Cook on the Fly”.

Glass Cup Coffee Mug

Not to sound dramatic but these vintage inspired ribbed glasses quite literally changed my life. If you are anything like me, you probably spend all of your day sipping on water, or iced coffee. So, it’s time you toss out your old overused plastic cups. Between the size of the glasses and overall aesthetic of the cups, I have zero complaints. Never underestimate the power of updating your glassware, and while you are at it pair your new glasses with some reusable straws, and you’ve got a match made in heaven!

Natural Wall Hooks

If rattan decor is your thing, then I have found the perfect accessory for any blank wall you may have. I had been eyeballing this rattan wall hook piece for at least a year, and in the name of fall I finally purchased one. The second I hung it next to my front door, I knew I made the right choice. This inexpensive piece completely transformed my entryway, and provides the best spot to hang all my fall coats – score!

Bat Decorations

I love these bats to stick around my apartment every fall, and these were the most bang for my buck this year. They come in all different sizes and are about half the cost of what I’ve paid for far fewer in the past. If you don’t decorate for Halloween, these are a great small thing to pick up that pack a huge punch.

Electric Candle Lighter

I’m that girl that likes to have candles burning at all times throughout the day, especially when all the fall scents come around! In order to keep my apartment smelling like I live inside of a pumpkin, I’ve got to have something that will keep me from spending too much money on matches. This rechargeable lighter has been one of my favorite home staples and is very inexpensive and user-friendly.

The Soup Book: 200 Recipes, Season by Season

Soup girl fall is truly the best time of the year, so it’s only necessary to purchase a cookbook with delectable recipes I can cook all season long! If you’re into savory soups for chillier weather, this cookbook really comes in handy for when you’re looking to cook something hearty and flavorful.

Soft Touch Hooded Pullover

I’m stocking up on all things comfy and cozy in preparation for another long, cold Chicago fall and winter. This hooded sweater will be great for an easy WFH outfit or cute under a leather jacket for weekend activities. I have a thing for neutrals so I currently have the beige color in my cart, but the olive option is so on trend for this fall.

Faux Fur Slides

I’m in need a new pair of cute slippers to wear around the house, and I’ve seen these all over Instagram recently. They have that Birkenstock style which is super popular right now but at much more affordable price. While working from home, I usually wear a cute workout set or jeans and a t-shirt, and these seem like the perfect finishing touch for any of those outfits.

Flameless Outdoor Candles

I am all about front porch decorating but have never had great luck with seasonal candles due to heat/moisture/general weather. I did a search and found these fantastic battery/remote operated water resistant plastic flameless candles and they work incredibly well for inside my lanterns and other outdoor fall decor.

Amber Glass Soap Dispenser

While I love a delicious smelling seasonal soap I am not a huge fan of the bright packaging. I love the moody tones these add to the kitchens and bathrooms. They bring a great seasonal vibe!

Electric Mug Warmer

Last year, I finally invested in a tea kettle after a lifetime of microwaving my tea. (Please put down your pitchforks, I’ve learned the error of my ways.) However, after hours of sitting on my desk as I slowly sip, I find myself left with cold tea and have to warm it back up in the microwave anyway. This electric mug warmer is the perfect solution and will have a permanent spot on my desk until spring.

Candle Accessory Set

If you’re not properly caring for your candles, what’s even the point? This year, I’m making an effort to get the most of my candles, and that includes using this accessory set to keep them in tip-top shape. This set comes with a wick trimmer, dipper, and snuffer—all crucial tools to care for your candles. If we’re going to spend the equivalent of a down payment on a house on fall candles, we should probably take care of them.

LED Fairy Lights with Remote

I don’t consider it fall yet unless my apartment is decked out in fairy lights. This year, I’m upgrading my set up with these remote-controlled lights. Now, I can turn these on from the cozy fall nest I create on my couch (featuring a weighted blanket and a warm cup of tea, of course) and don’t have to move until the leaves turn green.
