Geetika Saigal – Empowerment to me is the ‘Power to Choose’

Geetika Saigal – Author of an Amazon Bestseller, ‘Finding Your G-Spot in Life’, former youngest sales director worldwide of Cable & Wireless’ Global Markets Channel and an entrepreneur.

I was born a fighter, and playing victim was not an option I would ever live with. And hence, I decided early on in life, that no matter what, I would always be true to myself, follow the path I wanted to and make my own choices in life.

CHOICES – that is what I came to understand through my life experiences – is what defines us. Life is teaching us something every moment of the time, it is upto us to listen to it and take action. Not taking action is also a choice and not taking action also a decision.

Empowerment to me is the ‘Power to Choose’ – choose the life you want to lead, the person you want to be, the people you want your life to touch, the legacy you aspire to leave behind.

The choices I made have always been driven by who I am, not who I was supposed to be. Empowerment to me is the right to, the freedom to, and the power to ‘choose’. The road might have been less travelled, the choices bold and unconventional, the results sometimes rewarding sometimes painful, but in the end, you will love your life because it was the one you ‘choose’ to live. You will take responsibility for actions, rejoice in the gain and have the strength to face the pain.

Quoting my own book, ‘It’s not about the light at the end of the tunnel; it’s about the lights you light as you travel through the tunnel.’

And so I say to all of us women, ‘Live a ‘What Next’ not ‘What If’ kinda life.’ Know yourself, choose your path, stay true to yourself and let your inner child guide you.

Write your own book, define your own chapter headlines, create your own destiny.
